Subsystem Development

Subsystem development is almost identical to the product development scenario; the sole exception is that mindAmp requires that an API be rigorously defined before software development begins. This API serves as a contract between the customer and mindAmp in order to ensure that mindAmp can meet its commitments to the customer concerning feature/functionality, conformance to schedule, and quality.

If an API does not exist at the beginning of the project, mindAmp will build an API that is documented in a version controlled signature-ready document and ensure that the customer signs this document. Note that this signature process does not mean that the API cannot change. The purpose of the signature process is to support changes to the API and ensure those changes are managed in a rigorous and disciplined fashion.
