HowHow do we achieve results for our customers? The truth is simple, almost too simple. As H.L. Mencken noted "What ails the truth is that it is mainly uncomfortable, and often dull. The human mind seeks something more amusing, and more caressing." We achieve results through integrity. IntegrityIn the realm of software development, we define integrity as simply the ability to stand by an idea. That's a simple concept, but it's terribly difficult to execute. It's a lot easier to make assumptions about various moral and ethical attributes that you possess than to simply and resolutely stand by an idea or set of ideas. We match conceptual integrity with execution integrity. That means that our customer will receive software that operates intuitively according to a single unifying theme of operation. And that software will be delivered as with the features we committed, when we said it would be delivered. |
Conceptual IntegrityConceptual integrity is designing, developing, and delivering software with a central unifying theme. It is consistently the most overlooked aspect of most software development. We deliver software that has a central unifying theme both in terms of its operation as well as in terms of its internal structure. How do we do it? We use it by completely rejecting democracy and consensus organizing principals for designing software. Each project is assigned a leader who is completely responsible for the design, development, and delivery of the software that will meet and exceed the expectations of our customer. Each person working for the customer on that project has an assigned role and responsibility, and the architecture of the software is designed such that each person can take responsibility for one or more components within the framework of the previously established theme. |
Execution IntegrityAlthough state of the art technology and processes are always used by mindAmp, we never forget that it's the result that's important. This is our defining characteristic; a passion for delivering results instead of the typical passion for the latest technological marvel or "silver-bullet" process. Our entire company is built around the concept of delivering results. This is the reason that we use a fixed price/fixed schedule methodology; this means that at the time a proposal is accepted we have committed to the customer a fixed schedule and a fixed price associated with that schedule. Achieving results on time, on budget, and with the committed feature/functionality and high quality for our customers is how our customer wins, and thus how we win. |
