Tom Mays

Tom Mays brings to mindAmp over twenty years of international business experience in high-technology, spanning the computer software, hardware, systems, and manufacturing industries. He retired from AT&T and NCR in 1996, as Senior Vice President of Computer Products and Manufacturing, with P&L responsibility for all of the equipment and software businesses.

Tom's early engineering experience was in software and systems development on Autodin, ARPAnet, GSA ARS, and other government communications projects. He joined NCR in 1976 as a contributing engineer in microprocessor development.

Since retirement, Tom has become significantly involved with various venture capital backed, and other, companies and currently serves on several boards. He is on the CEO advisory board of Alpha Capital, a Chicago based venture capital fund, and on the Investment Policy Committee of the National Center for Industrial Competitiveness (NCIC).
